Tergar New York City

Based on the teachings of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, Tergar Meditation Community of New York City (Tergar NYC) explores practices designed to calm the mind, open the heart, and awaken wisdom.

The Joy of Living approach emphasizes direct experience and the integration of meditation with everyday life, presenting techniques that can be practiced by anyone, regardless of faith or cultural background. If you are new to meditation, this group will offer a gentle immersion into the world of mindfulness. If you are following our Joy of Living or Path of Liberation programs, these groups provide a wonderful opportunity to deepen your spiritual practice and connect with others on the path.

Feel free to attend regularly, or to drop in as your schedule allows. Our meetings include guided meditations and group discussion focusing on a particular topic and are self-contained. We hope to see you there!

Tergar NYC is currently meeting together online.

When:

  • We meet online on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 7 p.m.—8:30 p.m (US Eastern Time) for meditation and discussion of Joy of Living topics.

  • Shorter meditation-only sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. on Zoom.
