Trauma-Informed and
Mental Health Community

Our Purpose

Inspired by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche’s teachings, this group is a practice-centered community focused on bringing awareness and compassion to our lived experiences. We walk alongside individuals whose lives have been shaped by trauma and mental health challenges. Rather than trying to “fix” what feels broken, we co-create a supportive environment of shared presence, reflective meditation, and open-hearted non-judgment. Together, we practice returning to the breath, the body, and the simple act of welcoming whatever is here.

Important Notice Regarding Care

This group does not replace professional mental health treatment. We do not diagnose, prescribe, or provide therapy. Instead, we offer a companion space to share and practice meditation within a supportive community.

Core Group Values

  • Awareness and the Body: We use the breath, meditation, and gentle somatic awareness as invitations to return home to ourselves, resting in the understanding that our innate well-being always remains beneath our pain.

  • Welcoming Every Journey: We warmly welcome individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and belief systems. We practice showing up exactly as we are in the present moment.

  • Holding Space, Not Solving: We view difficult emotions—such as fear, anxiety, grief, or numbness—with curiosity rather than trying to fix or escape them immediately.

  • Privacy and Trust: We hold each other's journeys with deep respect. What is shared within our meetings remains strictly confidential.

In addition to these core principles, we are guided by the foundational values of the global Tergar Meditation Community.
