We seek meaning, purpose, and a sense of belonging as human beings. We often live in pursuit of this fulfillment in a way that is exhausting, and in a world that offers an infinite number of distractions. During this weekend meditation retreat, we will explore ways of practice that help support us in staying true to our hearts in turbulent times. By clarifying our intention and what is important to us in our lives, and doing so through establishing a stability of mind in awareness, it helps us to stay in touch with love, compassion, and wisdom. We learn to use the challenges of our lives and all that we do as a support to a heart that is unwavering.
This retreat will include video teachings from Mingyur Rinpoche, reflections from Myoshin Kelley and Kell Julliard, guided meditations, silent meditations, and an opportunity for a small discussion group.
Silence will be held from Saturday morning to lunch time on Sunday.
The retreat will be held at Garrison Institute, a peaceful oasis just one-hour north of New York City. The retreat center is located on a bluff overlooking the Hudson River with grounds that offer trails, ponds, meadows, and the river itself. It is an idyllic setting for quiet contemplation.

This retreat is open to anyone. Whether you have never done a retreat before or are a seasoned practitioner, this is a good opportunity to taste the benefits of sustained meditation practice.
