Experience Timeless Wisdom in an Authentic Environment

For The First Time Ever

Receive key teachings on Mahamudra and Dzogchen from the Dorje Drolö cycle in person at Osel Ling Monastery — the vibrant spiritual core of the Tergar lineage and the home and monastic seat of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche. Being in this special place and in the presence of the living teacher helps us beyond the understanding level and truly experience the wisdom of the teachings.

Located in Kathmandu, Nepal, the monastery is a place of inspiration, study, and contemplation for over 300 monks who live, study, meditate and debate together.

About Mingyur Rinpoche

Mingyur Rinpoche is a world-renowned meditation teacher with personal experience of anxiety and panic attacks, which he suffered from throughout his childhood and into his teenage years, when he learned to transform his panic through meditation.

Born in Nepal in 1975, Mingyur Rinpoche began to study meditation as a young boy with his father, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, himself a well-respected Buddhist teacher.

As a child he became interested in contemporary science through conversations with scientists who were visiting his father, and as he grew older he began to collaborate with neuroscientists and psychologists, including Richard Davidson and Antoine Lutz at the University of Wisconsin, on research projects that study the effects of meditation on the brain and the mind.

Mingyur Rinpoche’s sense of humor creates an inviting atmosphere, turning the exploration of meditation and its benefits into a joyful experience.

Grateful for the impact, I am fortunate to have Mingyur Rinpoche as a guiding light on this path towards personal growth.”

Katherine Demsky (Kathmandu, Nepal)

“Visiting Tergar Osel Ling Monastery feels like returning to my spiritual home, where even the walls seem to offer guidance. It’s an ideal location for a retreat, combining the tranquil beauty of the monastery with the presence of a living teacher. This experience has been truly transformative and more impactful for me personally than being near my laptop.

I’m eagerly anticipating joining the program in Nepal to gain further inspiration and wisdom to continue progressing on my spiritual journey.”

Masha Primachenko (Moscow, Russia)

“Dharma seems to influence every aspect of life in Nepal. Being in the presence of Buddhist masters and participating in community practices was a special experience. The kindness of the Nepalese people stood out, as illustrated by a minor traffic accident witnessed in Kathmandu. Despite the situation, a policewoman handled it with humor and genuine concern for everyone involved, ensuring their well-being.

The conversation shifted to the Spanish tourist involved in the accident, with warm and friendly questions about his origins and soccer fandom and if he was doing fine in Nepal. This exchange highlighted the friendliness and kindness of the Nepalese people.

These moments of unexpected kindness and interest in others enrich travel experiences and leave lasting impressions. “

Luis Oliveira (Lisbon, Portugal)
