Based on the teachings of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, Tergar Meditation Community of New York City explores practices designed to calm the mind, open the hear, and awaken wisdom. We meet regularly in Brooklyn and Manhattan. See below for more information on each practice group.
The Joy of Living approach emphasizes direct experience and the integration of meditation with everyday life, presenting techniques that can be practiced by anyone, regardless of faith or cultural background. If you are new to meditation, this group will offer a gentle immersion into the world of mindfulness. If you are following our Joy of Living or Path of Liberation programs, these groups provide a wonderful opportunity to deepen your spiritual practice.
Feel free to attend regularly, or to drop in as your schedule allows. Each session includes guided meditations and group discussion focusing on a particular topic and is self-contained. We hope to see you there!
