Tergar Meditation Community of Montréal is extremely honored to host Her Eminence Khandro Rinpoche August 9-10, 2014. Rinpoche will bestow the precious teachings on The Four Noble Truths.
The Four Noble Truths are as follows:
- The truth of suffering (and/or dissatisfaction, unhappiness, anxiety)
- The truth of what causes suffering
- The truth that suffering can cease
- The truth of the path that leads to the cessation of suffering
The teachings on the Four Noble Truths are relevant to every individual, as all of us go through some form of suffering at any given point in our lives. The reality of suffering is universal regardless of our societal status, personal backgrounds, and spiritual beliefs or non-beliefs.
The Four Noble Truths lay down the blueprint for the entire body of the Buddha’s thought and practice, and set up the basic framework of the individual’s path to freedom from suffering and ultimate awakening. Therefore, studying, comprehending, and meditating on these teachings are fundamental to integrate our practice in our daily lives.
