The Heart of Awakening: Entering the Path of Liberation
With Tergar Instructor Myoshin Kelley
Moscow, Russia
What do the Buddha’s teachings have to do with our lives in the modern world? Though his teachings took shape thousands of years ago in ancient India, the Buddha’s insights grew out of basic human questions that transcend culture and history. Why do we experience suffering and chronic dissatisfaction? Is it possible to find lasting happiness? How can we make our lives meaningful and deeply affect the world we live in? These were the questions that set the Buddha on the path to awakening.
Please join us as we explore the path of liberation with Tergar instructor Myoshin Kelley. Drawing on over thirty-five years of practicing and teaching meditation, Myoshin will share her insights on how Buddhist practices can support and nourish our hearts on the journey of awakening in today’s world. We will examine important principles such as lineage, the value of working with a teacher, and key practices such as taking refuge and arousing bodhichitta.
