Enlightened Parenting
Children, Monkeys, and Waking Up
With Senior Tergar Instructor Tim Olmsted
Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
In this evening presentation, Senior Tergar Instructor Tim Olmsted will suggest that “parenting” is the perfect paradigm through which we can understand the entire process of “waking up” to this life’s full potential. Whether or not we have children of our own, all of us are called to be a wise and affectionate hosts to whatever we encounter.
The evening includes a period of meditation, a time to share informally with the community, a short talk by the instructor, and a period of open discussion on how we are working with these aspects of our lives. The evening is open to all, beginners and experienced meditators alike, and is a great opportunity for us to delve deeper as a community into the richness of bringing meditation into our everyday lives.
This public talk is freely offered by the Tergar community. We are deeply grateful to our community members, who generously offer their time, energy, and financial contributions to make this possible. If you would like to join the team and help us to offer the gift of meditation to the world, please email [email protected] to ask about volunteering, or click here to make a tax-deductible donation.
