Meditation Group Details
Tergar meditation group starting Monday, February 20, 2017, 7pm-8:30 pm
Tergar NYC is starting a biweekly meditation group to support one another in our meditation practice. Basing its view on Mingyur Rinpoche’s books, The Joy of Living and Joyful Wisdom, this group will use guided meditations, discussion, and daily meditation exercises to cultivate awareness, compassion, and insight — the cornerstones of spiritual practice.
The Joy of Living approach emphasizes direct experience and the integration of meditation with everyday life, presenting techniques that can be practiced by anyone, regardless of faith or cultural background. If you are new to meditation, this group will offer a gentle immersion into the world of mindfulness. If you are following our Joy of Living or Path of Liberation programs, these groups provide a wonderful opportunity to deepen your spiritual practice.
Feel free to attend regularly, or to drop in as your schedule allows. Each night will focus on a particular topic and is self-contained. We hope to see you there!
