Transforming Our Lives
The Joy of Living Path in Practice and in Life
With Tergar Facilitator Kell Julliard
Chicago, Illinois, USA
Through the practices of The Joy of Living, we begin to recognize that awareness, compassion, and wisdom are basic functions of the heart and mind. In working with these qualities, we gradually transform our relationship to present–moment experience, learning to approach every thought, feeling, and sensory experience with unconditional warmth and acceptance. The more we can recognize these qualities in any given moment, the more we are able to come home to that place within ourselves that is not subject to the highs and lows of mundane life. For those who have completed all three levels of The Joy of Living, Calming the Mind, Opening the Heart, and Awakening Wisdom, this weekend workshop will help us identify what Joy of Living practices could be most helpful in any given situation – on and off the cushion. It will guide us in bringing all aspects of our basic goodness to the ups and downs of life, enhancing our peace, open heartedness, and inner freedom.
The schedule for this workshop series includes video teachings by Mingyur Rinpoche, presentations on the key points of meditation practice by Tergar Facilitator Kell Julliard, as well as guided meditations and discussion. This practice-intense workshop is open to those who have completed all three levels of The Joy of Living.
