Our weekly meditation group is free and open to all. If you are new to meditation and would like to learn more, or if you are a seasoned practitioner and would like to deepen your practice, please join us as we explore the practice of mindfulness meditation.
Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche’s approach to meditation focuses on working with the challenges of day-to-day life to create a peaceful mind and open heart. Our meditation group includes short presentations on the basics of meditation practice, guided meditations, and group discussion. Feel free to drop in anytime!
The center opens every Tuesday at 6:30pm; meditation begins at 7pm. Feel free to come early and socialize, browse the bookstore, or talk to a Tergar instructor or practice leader about your practice.
PLEASE NOTE: The corner parking lot that had been available for Tergar is now permanently closed. To help us manage the limited parking near Itasca, Mary Mueller is now serving as our carpool coordinator. Thank you, Mary! Please contact her if you’d like to give or receive rides, and she’ll put you in touch with others in your neighborhood who’d like to travel together. Her email is firstname.lastname@example.org. The lot across from the Itasca with the red Pay Here awning sometimes has spaces available. The lot to the left of that is private. The #7 and #14 Metro Transit busses and the Green and Blue light-rail transit lines also run nearby.
