The Joy of Living Meditation Workshop: Level I – Calming the Mind

With Tergar Instructor Tim Olmsted

Meditation allows us to calm the mind, open the heart, and live more fully in the present moment. In this retreat, we will explore the practice of meditation and how to integrate meditative awareness with all activities. Based on the extraordinary meditation teachings of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, the Joy of Living program emphasizes universal principles that are profoundly beneficial for people of all faiths and belief systems.

This retreat will offer an excellent introduction for new students and a time to deepen practice for experienced practitioners. The daily schedule will include meditation sessions interspersed with short discussions and presentations by Tergar instructor Tim Olmsted.

His first book, The Joy of Living: Unlocking the Secret and Science of Happiness, debuted on The New York Times bestseller list and has been translated into over twenty languages. Rinpoche currently teaches throughout the world, with centers on four continents.
