The Joy of Living Level I: Calming the Mind

August 6 - 7, 2011
Weekend Meditation Workshop
With Tergar Instructor Myoshin Kelley

Meditation allows us to calm the mind, open the heart, and live more fully in the present moment. In this meditation workshop, we will learn how to transform all experiences, even difficult thoughts and emotions, into sources of joy. With the guidance of Tibetan meditation master Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, we will explore the landscape of our experience with mindful awareness, learning how to use the body, sensory experiences, thoughts, emotions, and even awareness itself as supports for meditation.

The schedule for this weekend workshop includes DVD teachings by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, presentations on the key points of meditation practice by Tergar instructor Myoshin Kelley, as well as guided meditations and discussion. This weekend is suitable for people of all faiths, as well as both beginning and experienced meditators.
