Nectar of the Path – An All-Day Retreat
With Tergar Lama Khenpo Kunga
Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
This daylong retreat will focus on The Nectar of the Path, a concise, profound, and beautiful Buddhist practice composed by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche. It will provide a rare opportunity to learn The Nectar of the Path from senior Tergar Lama Khenpo Kunga and, for those already practicing The Nectar of the Path, to deepen their understanding and practice.
Mingyur Rinpoche wrote The Nectar of the Path during the annual Tergar summer retreat at St. John’s University in 2010. This practice, including chants and meditation, allows us to touch on all the elements of the path in one short meditation session. Mingyur Rinpoche has said that any of his students are welcome to use this practice, and that it is an excellent way for us to connect with him while he is on retreat. While anyone is welcome to practice this, regardless of practice background, it is important to note this is a “Buddhist” practice, based on fundamental Buddhist concepts such as refuge, bodhicitta, and relationship to the teacher.
We will perform the practice of The Nectar of the Path from 11am to noon. Before and after that practice period, Khenpo Kunga will explain the main aspects of the practice.
Both beginning and experienced meditators are welcome!
