Journey of Awakening:
Buddhist Teachings on Transforming the Heart and Mind
With Tergar Instructor Cortland Dahl
New York City, New York, USA
The Buddha taught that suffering and chronic dissatisfaction can be uprooted by training the heart and mind. As we begin to loosen the grip of dissatisfaction, we begin to experience a profound sense of contentment that does not depend on the changing conditions of our lives. At the heart of this path lie the “three trainings” of ethical conduct, meditation, and insight. In this weekend retreat, Tergar instructor Cortland Dahl will lead an exploration of these three forms of spiritual practice, offering practical guidance for integrating the Buddha’s wisdom with day-to-day life. The retreat will include presentations on key points of Buddhist practice, guided meditations, and discussion.
