


Meditation allows us to calm the mind, open the heart, and live more fully in the present moment. In this retreat, we will explore the practice of meditation and how to integrate meditative awareness with all activities. Based on the extraordinary meditation teachings of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, the Joy of Living program emphasizes universal principles that are profoundly beneficial for people of all faiths and belief systems.
This retreat will offer an excellent introduction for new students and a time to deepen practice for experienced practitioners. The daily schedule will include meditation sessions interspersed with short discussions and presentations by Tergar instructor Myoshin Kelley.

About: In the first level of the Joy of Living – Calming the Mind: The Practice of Awareness Meditation – Mingyur Rinpoche teaches how awareness meditation can be used to create a peaceful mind and joyful heart. Awareness meditation allows us to use any situation or experience, even difficult emotions and physical pain, as a gateway to inner peace. In this talk Mingyur Rinpoche will review the background and practices presented at the Joy of Living 1, as well as to clarify questions regarding the continued practice. The Joy of Living retreats provide a course of meditation training for people of all faiths and backgrounds.

* If you need to cancel:
Cancellation by August 17th: 50% of registration payment is not refundable.
Cancellation after September 10th: 100% of registration payment is not refundable.
* We will notify you by email within a few days once we have received your payment.
* If the program is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, 25% of the registration payment is not refundable. (This ensures that we can cover our already-incurred program costs.)
